We are delighted to announce that Keith Cockburn has been selected as the Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate for Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale for the 2026 Scottish Parliamentary Elections.

Speaking after his selection, Keith Cockburn said: "I am delighted, humbled and honoured to be selected by our members to be the Scottish Conservative & Unionist candidate for my home constituency of Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale.
I look forward to campaigning vigorously alongside my friends and supporters over the coming weeks and months. I will be a true local champion, raising important issues that must be addressed, such as a lack of funding and planning for critical infrastructure.
I am offering voters here the opportunity to choose an alternative to the inertia and incompetence of the SNP Government in Holyrood, which has delivered only distraction and failure over the last 18 years.
Only the Scottish Conservative & Unionist party are strong enough to take on and beat the SNP in this constituency.
